Transfering United Miles

Transfering United Miles

  1. Anonymous Guest

I understand United is changing its miles system in the near future. I have 100,000 miles and my wife has 60,000. Together this is enough for two round trip tickets to Bali, but unfortunately we can’t combine them without paying to transfer. If I transfer 20,000 from my account to my wife’s it will cost about $300. I don’t have time to earn 20,000 miles another way before United changes its system in November. Should I suck it up and pay the $300 to transfers so I can book the trip before the change happens or is there something I’m not thinking of? Thanks!

Book your flights there out of your account, and your flights home out of her account?
