Jacob New MemberWas just playing around with Delta awards and searching for flights to Bali. I noticed that there was a flight for 40,000 miles that went from LAX-BNE-DPS. The BNE connection surprised me. If wanting to simply go from LAX-BNE, it is 45,000 miles. Seems like you can save 5,000 miles to book an award trip to Australia by booking a flight to Bali and skipping the last leg.

Also found options for flying through SYD as well. Saves 10,000 miles on business class awards.
