Redeeming Alaska miles on Korean Air?

Redeeming Alaska miles on Korean Air?

  1. Anonymous Guest

My family of 3 is hoping to travel to Korea and Japan this summer using Alaska miles. I’ve been looking to book Korean Air business class, but I’ve found nothing from ANY US gateway to Seoul. I know that Korean Air has cut back on the award seats that they release to partners, but I didn’t realize it was this bad. Bottom line – am I wasting my time looking for 3 Korean Air award seats?

Unfortunately yes. As a matter of policy Korean is only giving one business class award seat to partners on North American routes these days.

Your Alaska miles are also good for JAL and can include a stopover in Japan on your way to Korea. Just be ware that not all their US flights feature a lie-flat business class product. Their LAX-KIX and SAN-NRT routes have an angle flat product for business on their 787.
