I’m hoping you can shed some light. I had heard there is a way to recoup the $1500 in fees paid to go thru LHR on an international flight from JFK to ATH using a ticket paid with miles? Thanks in advance!
Well, the trick would be to not fly British Airways. Those are “fuel surcharges” you’re paying, not the UK departure taxes, which wouldn’t be assessed on that itinerary anyway.
