VA announced that they’d be discontinuing AUH-SYD and starting AUH-PER service ([URL]https://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/about-us/media/2016/va-mel-lax-flights/[/URL]) but the VX Elevate site for partner redemptions ([URL]https://www.virginamerica.com/cms/elevate-frequent-flyer/partners/airline-partners/virgin-australia[/URL]) still only shows AUH-SYD.

I tried calling the Silver line today, and, after a few attempts, finally got someone who knew how to make an award booking, but she insisted that the only route that could be booked was AUH-SYD.

Any ideas?

VA12 AUH-PER has reward seats available on June 10, 12, 14. That’s all I checked. Keep trying. It’s a new route so they may not have a redemption value set. All you can do is continue to call until you find someone who can help.

Flew VA A330 business class out of Perth last month. Incredible.
