Partner award redemption across Star Alliance
So a quick question that it would be interesting to see an article on.
During the Covid situation, partner awards has been heavily impacted. But as I can see, different airlines receive different availability also during this period.
As an example – SQ Availability from LHR til SYD on a random date in 2021.
ANA Mileage Club award search shows premium cabin availability for this period on LHR-SIN and SIN-SYD.
SAS Eurobonus award search shows no availability in 2021 for any route operated by SQ, even though they embarked on a special award-partnership with SQ in 2018 giving them amazing redemption opportunities.
United MileagePlus has more or less only had access to certain routes on SQ, and shows no availability on SQ for 2021 on any of them (SIN-DPS being the most comon)
LifeMiles has the same issues. Used to have great SQ availability in 2019, but now only displays economy.
Any insights to how this works?
