I am looking to fly from JFK-JNB on March 13.
Only the first leg is available in first.
Do you think the second leg will open up ?
If it opens, is it an easy fix to reissue the ticket ?

Thanks !

Hello gswannabe.

Are you going to book this award with Alaska miles or from some other program?

How many tickets do you needs? Looking on ExpertFlyer I’m seeing one Z space seat available on that date for both segments. I’m assuming you must need more than one.

In which case if space does open up later on you can get the tickets reissued, however there is a risk. For AS to reissue the ticket they have to release the existing space and issue you a new ticket. Usually once the space is released it available again immediately. But it’s not always the case. You run the risk of the space not opening back up right away and someone else snagging it before you can get your new tickets issued.
