Frequent Flyer Miles

Frequent Flyer Miles

I have AMEX membership reward points. I need to transfer these miles to an airline frequent traveler account. I am looking to fly NYC to Cairo non-stop in summer of 2020 and wanted to use miles to up grade our tickets. What frequent flyer program do you reccommend?

The only non-stop flight to Cairo from New York is on EgyptAir. So, you’re limited to Star Alliance options to get there.

AMEX points can transfer to Aeroplan, which you could book for 82,500 points each way plus minimal taxes/fees, in business class.

I think you could also transfer to ANA, which would be cheaper (less points). But, round-trip travel is required, so you’d be forced to make sure there is award space both ways when booking.

Are you open to connecting in Europe? That opens a lot more options.
