First Class ex UAE: Emirates or Etihad?

First Class ex UAE: Emirates or Etihad?

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hello Lucky,

I am thinking of leaving the UAE in First Class – but cannot decide on which carrier. I will fly with my wife.

Since Qatar is banned it narrows down to Emirates and Etihad. I will throw in my miles which has some impact on the overall experience:
Emirates has a chauffeur, lounge w/ access to boarding and a bar onboard
Etihad has no chauffeur (award), no lounge w/ access to boarding – but I like the style much more, plus: I have award availability for the apartment on the A380. The apartment seems pretty nice especially when travelling together (as we do).

We will most likely stay in Dubai, which makes DXB the first choice…

Thank you in advance for your input!

    Cheerio

I dont believe award tickets on EK are eligible for chauffeur service, unless you booked thru their own program or thru Qantas.

I enjoyed both. EY’s A380 F seats are much more spacious but EK has a better shower and bar area. Emirates is also going to have a more spacious lounge. Given that you’re already in Dubai, I’d probably stick with EK.
