Emirates award

I’m looking to book an award in Emirates first class from Larnaca Cyprus with a short connection in Dubai than to New York JFK on their 2:50 AM flight.
Is JAL the cheapest option to book? Do I book them on the phone, I played around on Expert flyer thought I’m not so good at using it, I do say availability does that guarantee that with JAL there is?

Scott from Travel Codex has created an Award Maximizer tool that may help you decide. You can find it here: https://travelcodex.com/award-maximizer/ While it doesn’t cover all programs hopefully it will give you a head start on comparing rates.

Yeah, JAL is the cheapest option, at 105k miles plus taxes and fees. JAL now passes on fuel surcharges though. Alaska would charge 180k but wont pass on fuel surcharges.

thanks I will give it a shot, lets see what happens, and how much those fuel surcharges are

never heard of this before, this one is definitely a keeper, I’ll be certain to use it for future award flights.
Thanks!
