Delta miles to Victoria, BC

Delta miles to Victoria, BC

I have 100K Delta miles. I wanted to visit Victoria, BC. I found delta flights cost ~45K. I hate to use 45K point to visit BC. Is there other way to use delta miles to visit BC cheaply?

Welcome @Bulbul Ahmed – unfortunately Delta no longer even has an award chart so awards cost what the computer says they cost. Have you also considered flying to Seattle or Vancouver and taking a ferry?

@MidSouth Skier I did but it costs almost same. I should have chosen United as my frequent flyer since I live in midwest. See if i can use for Hawaii. Thanks for your response.

Have you tried searching segment by segment for flights on Delta and WestJet? You might have better luck if you choose to connect on WestJet via Calgary or Edmonton, especially since you can now book awards for WestJet using Delta SkyMiles.

I’m not sure where youre based but I searched for Denver to Victoria on Delta and found space for DEN-SEA-YYJ albeit on Alaska. The DL/AS partnership is ending April 30th but this priced out at 12500+$5.60.

@David W I am based out of Milwaukee, WI. My travel plan is 27 May (MKE-YYJ) and June 3/4 (YVR-MKE). I will appreciate if you can show me a better route. Thanks.

I’m seeing MKE-SEA-YYJ for 20k+$5.60 on May 28th, if you dont mind departing a day later. On the 27th, the same itinerary is 32.5k+$5.60.

It is a holiday weekend in the US so I wouldnt be surprised if no saver level space (12.5k+$5.60) shows up.

Though you could also pay cash for the outbound and use miles on the return. YYJ-YYC-MSP-MKE 12.5k+$44 on May 31st. Not the best routing since it’s 2 stops but it’s the cheapest option. The one-stop option via SEA on the return is 25k+$44.

which website are you finding this deal? I see 32.5K +~50$ in the delta website. Could you please help?

I’m also using the Delta website. Here’s what I see when I search MKE-YYJ on May 27th and May 28th.
