CX availability with AS – I stand corrected

CX availability with AS – I stand corrected

I’ve been arguing that Cathay space is redeemable with Alaska points if you can see the space on British Airways or other Oneworld sites. I was wrong as I’ve hit a roadblock. A first class reward on multiple days is available and shown on BA and JL but Alaska doesn’t see it. In fact there were 3 days in a row of availability and they only showed one, which I took. It took the agent almost 30 minutes to locate the available one. I’ve tried 4 times now. Frustrating.

Yeah, not just you, it’s lame, and I don’t have a workaround other than finding an agent who will look in the old system: http://onemileatatime.boardingarea.com/2016/09/11/alaska-cathay-awards/
