Changing Award Post AA Devaluation

Changing Award Post AA Devaluation

  1. Kevin M New Member

If you book an award before the AA devaluation and then call to change only the dates after the devaluation (which AA does not charge for if origin and destination remain the same), will AA then collect the difference between the pre- and post-devaluation cost of the award? Thanks.

There is no concrete information on this. The general consensus is that minor changes like the one you mention will not incur an increase in cost but major changes like J to F probably will.
