Change fees on a UA redemption

Change fees on a UA redemption

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi,

I have 2 tickets to Europe using UA miles that I either need to cancel or change the date/destination for. Please confirm the following:

If I cancel the ticket and have the miles returned to me the fee will be $200 per ticket.

If I change the date it’s $75 per ticket.

If I change the destination it’s $100 per ticket.

    My questions are:

Does travel need to be completed with a year of the original ticket date?
Can I change the date or destination multiple times with the understanding that I will have to pay the fees each time?

    Thanks.

Unless you cancel and redeposit the award, travel has to be completed within a year of the original issue date. And you can change an award multiple times, paying the fee each time. In your situation, I would either pay the change fee, if your plans are firm, or cancel and redeposit if you havent confirmed plans yet.
