Cathay J or JAL F

Cathay J or JAL F

Will be in HKG next Fall. I have the following two itineraries on hold on AA:

HKG-JFK Direct (16 hours of travel time)
HKG-EWR on CX (2J)

HKG-NRT-JFK (RedEye) (21 hours of travel time)
HKG-NRT on CX 1am – 6:25 am (2J)
NRT-JFK on JAL 11:10 am -11:05 am (2F)

It’s a special occasion trip (honeymoon), so we’d really prefer to fly F. JAL’s F product looks great, but CX’s J product looks very good. We’ve never flown either airline. Is JAL’s F product worth the redeye, or are we better served taking the direct flight on CX’s J? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

@MikeC3724 I think F is about as special as possible and JAL has a very nice product. I’d choose that personally for a honeymoon!
