Buying Lifemiles

Buying Lifemiles

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi,

I am considering buying Lifemiles with the 3 for 1 promotion. My concern is what happens to already booked redemptions if Lifemiles folds or loses Star Alliance affiliation. I would like to book a flight for September 2021 using purchased miles. If Lifemiles folds or Avianca folds and Lifemiles looses Staralliance affiliation, are my booking still valid. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi, it’s definitely a risk, but not as major as you would think. Ben wrote a pretty detailed post about this back in April, and also outlines Lifemiles specifically in his promo post.
