Booking Delta Flight on Flying Blue

Booking Delta Flight on Flying Blue

    Hi All,

I was able to find a great one way award redemption from JFK-FCO for Columbus Day Weekend. With regard to seat selection, according to the Flying Blue website, there are only the middle 2 seats in the 2-4-2 configuration. According to the delta website, however, there are a ton of available seats but they are preferred seats.

I have Platinum status on AA and would have no problem doing the Delta Status Match, since I would be getting temporary Gold and would be able to select those preferred seats for free. I don’t have a problem burning a Delta status match because I’m about to be the father of two young children and I don’t travel for work, so there is little possibility of me needing or getting Delta Status again anytime soon.

Does anyone know if I have Delta Gold status that I can either change my seat on the Delta website or utilize that elite status on the Flying Blue website? The flight is not an AF/KLM codeshare. It is actually listed as DL444. Thanks!!

@iweinb usually medallion members are able to select preferred seats. Golds get access to Comfort + 72 hours out. You could call DL to confirm. Once you have Gold you could add your DL FF number to your reservation and then change your seat assignments or get your DL PNR from FB and call in to change. Good luck!
