Best Way from NYC to LHR (iberia, AA or BA?)

Best Way from NYC to LHR (iberia, AA or BA?)

    Hi Lucky!

I’m new to your blog!! and I love all of it!!!
I’d like to plan a “short weekend” get away to London from NYC Jan 2016 and I just joined the BA and Iberia loyalty programs yeterday. Currently, there’s a 25% promotion if I transfer AMEX to Iberia for avios points. I was wondering which one of these airlines would be best to use for traveling to London now? AA, BA or Iberia? I have a ton of points from Chase Saphire I can use for BA….and Starwood for AA as well. Also, since I just joined BA and Iberia yesterday, is there a policy that states the amout of time I need to wait before I can use points that are transferred to book flights?!

    Thank you very much!!!!

@LucyW — Welcome! I would avoid all of those, actually. Have you looked at Star Alliance options through Aeroplan at all?

cheapest is probably Norwegian.com Nice 787’s! Talking $160 or so one way into Gatwick (South of London)

She asked for the best, not cheapest. Problem with Norwegian is a big chance of ending up Kjosfast. Which could easily eat up a short weekend.
