Award travel from Washington DC to Ulaanbaatar
Hello!
I have dabbled in earning award travel with credit cards, mostly earning Hilton Honors points up until now. I am planning a trip to Mongolia the summer of 2016 and am looking for advice on the best credit card to get to earn points to get upgraded flights. Looks like Delta/Korean Air would be the best bets for flights and I have 20000 Delta points to get started with. I have an excellent credit score and no concern about being approved for whichever card I apply for.
Any and all advice would be appreciated!
You might want to start with the Delta cards Lucky has listed under airline credit cards if you intend to book true Delta.

Even though you have 20K start with Delta miles, their award charts are generally much higher than a OneWorld or StarAlliance airline. You might be better off starting over with another airline credit card, or with a Chase or Amex card with a nice signup bonus.
