Availability of 1st class on AA blocked or hidden

    Hi Lucky,

So I was trying to lock in a last minute first class date that I could change later using AA miles. I’ve called several times and none of the agents seem able to see availability I am seeing on British. For example, there are lots of flights in first with connection from HGK to LAX, such as below:

Any yet agents cannot see the availability. Oddly enough they seem able to see business class availability. I was booking this to change later but lock in the miles before the devaluation with the thought of changing it to some last minute availability on the Cathay nonstop. Any ideas?

msmlaw the BA search engine does produce incorrect information sometimes. I would double check on the Qantas or JAL site to make sure that the availability is actually there.

Yes I think I’ve heard BA releases this phantom space
