Air Berlin/British Air agreement

Air Berlin/British Air agreement

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Lucky,

I was playing around on BA online booking flight looking for seats on TXL-ORD and back routes via Air Berlin. Absolutely no Air Berlin vacancy listed or even AB flights. I’m looking as far out as possible, so October 2016. Is it possible that the AB/BA agreement will not be renewed sometime next year? Could this be a response to AB listing of new direct flights to US cities beginning next year or is this a temporary glitch in the booking program? Thanks, russ

@Russ — I don’t think Air Berlin releases seats as far in advance as the BA tool will let you search. So that could be part of it, but remember that airline inventory and revenue management is incredibly complex, and it’s not unusual to not see any award availability in advance of popular times.
