AA Partner Award Redemption – date change/one reservation?

AA Partner Award Redemption – date change/one reservation?

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi Lucky/Everyone,

As the looming AA devaluation comes up, I’m planning to speculatively book a roundtrip business class partner award flight for 2 from JFK-TPE as far out as I can and will most likely do a date change as it comes closer. Both passengers have enough miles in their own account for the roundtrip redemption. I’m planning to book both awards on the same reservation. If there’s a possibility that one person might change the return date for herself only, is it possible to change the return date for her while the other one keeps the original return? Or do both passengers need to return on the same flights if they’re on the same reservation?

Thank you in advance for any advice!

Hi Emily! If you’re booking out of separate accounts, you’d be on different reservations anyway.

But either way, it’s not a big deal. They can always split the record for you.
