IHG One Rewards has just opened registration for its next global promotion, covering stays for the entire fourth quarter of 2025. Let’s go over the details of the offer, for those with any planned upcoming stays.
In this post:
IHG One Rewards fall 2025 promotion details
For the fall of 2025, IHG One Rewards is offering up to triple points, but you have to be a relatively frequent guest to maximize this. Specifically, you earn double points starting with your second stay, and triple points starting with your third stay.

As you’d expect, there are some details to be aware of:
- Registration is required between September 16 and December 31, 2025, and must occur prior to any eligible stay
- The promotion is valid for stays between October 1 and December 31, 2025
- There is no booking deadline, so nights consumed anytime during the promotion period are eligible, as long as you register in time
- All paid nights booked directly with IHG qualify for this promotion, as long as the nightly rate is at least $30 (award nights don’t qualify)
- You can earn up to 70,000 bonus points with this promotion; if you’re earning 10-20x bonus points per dollar spent, that would be unlocked at somewhere between $3,500 and $7,000 in eligible spending

How lucrative is this IHG One Rewards promotion?
IHG One Rewards members ordinarily earn the following return on spending at IHG properties (for what it’s worth, I value IHG points at 0.5 cents each):
- IHG offers 10x points per dollar spent at most brands, and 5x points per dollar spent at Candlewood Suites and Staybridge Suites
- IHG members receive bonus points — Silver members receive a 20% bonus, Gold members receive a 40% bonus, Platinum members receive a 60% bonus, and Diamond members receive a 100% bonus
- If you pay with the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card (review) or IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card (review), you earn 10x bonus points per dollar spent
With this promotion, at most brands you’d earn 10x bonus points on your second stay, and 20x bonus points starting on your third say. So if you were earning triple points, paying with the right co-branded credit card, and had Diamond status, you’d be earning up to 50x points per dollar spent, which is pretty great, as I value that at a 25% return on spending.
Of course that assumes you’ve completed two stays already, and don’t exceed the limit of 70,000 bonus points.

Bottom line
IHG One Rewards has just opened registration for its Q4 2025 promotion. With this, registered members can earn double points on their second stay, and triple points starting on their third stay, up to 70,000 total bonus points.
This has the potential to be a lucrative offer, and IHG is now leading the industry when it comes to the quality of promotions. Unfortunately I don’t find the program to be terribly interesting otherwise, but this is at least a good incentive to stay at IHG properties.
What do you make of IHG One Rewards’ new global promotion?
Ben, for what it's worth... I really appreciate these posts that remind us to register for hotel promotions. I'm sure they're low traffic for you, but for us dedicated readers, we really like them. Thanks!
Can you please advise why you don't find IHG terribly interesting otherwise? The breakfast benefit is superior to Hyatt (and the other chains) with free hot breakfast for two in the restaurant (irrespective of whether there is a lounge), the confirmed suite upgrades from the Milestone Rewards work 15 days in advance (which blows Hilton and Marriott out of the water - only Hyatt is better), the Club Intercontinentals are legacy products of higher quality...

I get it that IHG still has to make further progress on luxury properties, but I love staying at Regents, Kimptons, some Intercontinentals, Indigos, and all Voco thus far except for one. Nobody is forcing you to stay at a crappy Crowne Plaza or Holiday Inn.
