Oman Air consistently has great business class fares between Europe and Asia, often in both directions. Sometimes the deals hang around for ages, others pop up on a particular route from time to time.
I flew Oman Air myself in their new Apex Suites recently and agree with Ben’s reviews that it is a fantastic airline and product.
The new Muscat airport is awesome, as is their new business class lounge.
Right now Oman Air has great prices for business class fares between Jakarta, Indonesia, and London, UK, for around £1,350 / $1,720 per person.
ITA Matrix is pricing just above £1,400, per the screenshot above, but if you book through the Oman Air website directly you should be able to reduce the price by about 5%.
Availability is pretty good — I’d use either ITA Matrix or Google Flights to check some date ranges and then head to the Oman Air website to book specific dates you know are at the low price — Oman Air’s website is otherwise a little clunky.
What makes this deal particularly attractive is that it is rarer to see great premium deals to London versus mainland Europe, partly because of the UK’s expensive Air Passenger Duty.
All flights are on their Boeing 787s.
Most (if not all?) of their 787s feature their new Apex Suites product — their London flights certainly do, as they are their newest aircraft, also configured with first class, which Ben reviewed here.
Though Oman Air is not a member of a global alliance, these flights can be credited to Etihad Guest, where they will earn 150% miles flown, so around 22,500 redeemable miles.
In the absence of any amazing Qatar Airways discounted premium fares, Oman Air is one of the best ways to travel very comfortably between Asia and Europe on an affordable revenue fare.
