Excellent Oman Air Business Class Fares From Jakarta To London

Filed Under: Great Deals, Oman Air

Oman Air consistently has great business class fares between Europe and Asia, often in both directions. Sometimes the deals hang around for ages, others pop up on a particular route from time to time.

I flew Oman Air myself in their new Apex Suites recently and agree with Ben’s reviews that it is a fantastic airline and product.

The new Muscat airport is awesome, as is their new business class lounge.

Right now Oman Air has great prices for business class fares between Jakarta, Indonesia, and London, UK, for around £1,350 / $1,720 per person.

ITA Matrix is pricing just above £1,400, per the screenshot above, but if you book through the Oman Air website directly you should be able to reduce the price by about 5%.

Availability is pretty good — I’d use either ITA Matrix or Google Flights to check some date ranges and then head to the Oman Air website to book specific dates you know are at the low price — Oman Air’s website is otherwise a little clunky.

Oman Air Business Class

What makes this deal particularly attractive is that it is rarer to see great premium deals to London versus mainland Europe, partly because of the UK’s expensive Air Passenger Duty.

All flights are on their Boeing 787s.

Most (if not all?) of their 787s feature their new Apex Suites product — their London flights certainly do, as they are their newest aircraft, also configured with first class, which Ben reviewed here.

Though Oman Air is not a member of a global alliance, these flights can be credited to Etihad Guest, where they will earn 150% miles flown, so around 22,500 redeemable miles.

Bottom line

In the absence of any amazing Qatar Airways discounted premium fares, Oman Air is one of the best ways to travel very comfortably between Asia and Europe on an affordable revenue fare.

Have you flown Oman Air?

(Tip of the hat to FlyerTalk)

  1. They may have a hard time selling these given that half the world just bought multiple Cathay tickets to the U.S. in F for $800.00, lol.

  2. @ Robert – deals to LHR are rarer and usually more expensive than to mainland Europe.

In the absence of any great Qatar deals, this is a good non mistake fare price on a great carrier.

  3. Just booked JFK-PEK-KIX-SIN-HAN-HKG-YVR-HKG-HAN-HKG-BOS. If the Cathay fares aren’t honored I’m going to lock myself forever

  4. Hi James. Thank you for alerting us to these fares. Whilst they are good, the long layover in both directions is not ideal. Jakarta has consistently good fares to London (now the lowest from SE Asia I find – it used to be Bangkok two years ago) and you can without problem for most dates find US$ 1.8-1.9k fares to London, and pick up sales fares for closer to US$ 1.5k. I just booked QR at the end of Jan for 1.9k and have an MH flight later this year for 1.6k.

  5. Just had another look £210 each way in economy from Jakarta to Manchester – wow. Terrible connection in Muscat however
