The Amex Offers program frequently has promotions for hotel stays, which can save you money or earn you bonus points for stays you’d make anyway. Amex has just rolled out its latest targeted hotel offer, which is exclusively available on Amex small business cards.
There’s a new targeted Amex Offer for 10% back on spending at Hyatt properties in the United States, for a maximum of $75 in statement credits. The offer is valid for stays at participating properties through December 31, 2021, so you have six months to use this offer.
The promotion can be used across one or multiple stays, so you can keep using the offer until you earn $75 worth of statement credits. All room rates and room charges (including taxes) should qualify towards this offer. You also need to book directly through Hyatt (Hyatt Privé would also qualify for those purposes), meaning that you need to be billed by the hotel, rather than through a third party. You can combine this offer with any of Hyatt’s current promotions.
This promotion is valid for stays at most Hyatt brands in the US and US territories, including Park Hyatt, Miraval, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt, Andaz, Thompson Hotels, Hyatt Centric, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Destination Hotels, Joie de Vivre, Caption by Hyatt, and Alila.
There is going to be an opportunity cost to using this in terms of points earning potential, since there are better cards to use for Hyatt stays. However, the 10% cash back plus some rewards will almost certainly be more valuable than the points you’re forgoing on another card.
Also keep in mind you can always split payment across multiple cards at check-out for Hyatt stays in order to maximize your rewards, once you reach the $75 statement credit limit.
There’s a new targeted Amex Offers deal for 10% back on Hyatt spending, for a maximum of $75 in statement credits. This offer seems to be available exclusively on select business cards, so this isn’t available on any personal cards.
This is a great offer, especially given the lack of brand restrictions. If you have any Hyatt stays coming up over the next several months, be sure you check if you’re eligible, and register if so.
Do you see this offer on one of your Amex business accounts, and if so, do you plan on taking advantage of it?
