Heathrow Airport is possibly my least favorite major airport in the world, given what a pain it is to connect there. So trust me, I don’t want to say anything nice about the airport unless I have to.
Well, in this case, I have no choice. 😉 A couple of days ago Heathrow Airport published a video called “Coming Home for Christmas,” and it’s adorable. Here’s how it’s described:
Throughout their 70 years, Heathrow have specialized in reconnecting people with their loved ones, especially at this time of year, because coming home for Christmas is the best gift of all. Among the millions of seasonal passengers, there are some extra-special arrivals that have made it home in time for the big day…
Here’s the video:
So, so, so cute!
WHO did the song? Tried looking it up with no luck. (almost sounded like Ringo Starr)
@Will Lucky just hates anything connected with Britain...he hates English breakfasts...he hates British Airways....he hates Heathrow....there is nothing in UK he likes.
Cried watching this commercial because i won't be home this christmas :(!
Lol I love the way you bash LHR at every available opportunity. Like with most major airports in the US and rest of Europe connection experiences are hit and miss. Clearly at LHR there are peak times (which I would imagine you often hit coming from the US or an early morning Euro connecting flight).
I have had a lot worse connection experiences at MIA, JFK and even ATL than I have at LHR.
Almost cried. Can't wait to see my parents at HKG in three weeks.
@Lucky,
Have you seen Etihad's mannequin challenge video?
So cute! Really made me think that I should travel back home this Christmas!
The ending left me with a hole in my heart!
yep it was adorable! Don't overthink it.
Not to spoil it but it felt kinda depressing to me...
Gee the background music sounds so much like the Kinks, alas it is Chas & Dave, which is ok also.
Aww....that was adorable! Tears in my eyes.
@jane blogs Did you watch it all the way through to the end???
Wow - a working escalator AND a working travelator in the same terminal! Looks like they chose a great day to film!
Oh no, typical Heathrow, no.one there to greet them - I thought it was a bit sad. And obviously their long lost family didn't care either, my heart was aching for them. Just like the rest of us road warriors left there wondering how on earth to get out of the airport quickly and to the hotel.
Maybe there is a happy ending part two planned, hope so!
I agree, the ending was blah! But cute video. I love Christmas. Hope you all do too!!
It's Brilliant! Too cute for words.
Cute but I thought Paddington Bear would be there to greet them
Made me cry. Wish somebody loved me...
Very nice video.
Never seen LHR that quiet!
Lax is shit. Feels like a bus stand in a third world country.
They blew the ending
what would have been great was if family and friend
bears started running up to them upon arrival to greet and hug them
Its gotta be a bears world too
