Gotta love airlines and their marketing. Delta has a pretty fancy new website set up promoting their new “Sky Priority” service, which is available to Delta Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Medallion members, as well as SkyTeam Elite Plus members. What services does this new, incredible, exclusive experience entail? Well, priority check-in, access to priority security lines, priority boarding, expedited baggage services, and access to an elite phone line.
Wait a sec, those aren’t new benefits! So in this case it’s just Delta playing marketing games.
The sole improvement is that those eligible for “Sky Priority” that aren’t in first class will receive a coupon when they check-in entitling them to a complimentary beverage or snack. That’s a very nice gesture. Not getting a “free” upgrade sucks, so offering something in place of the upgrade is nice.
Still, this is a bunch of airline marketing BS. Nice to see Delta’s lipstick (on a pig) budget is so big.
