Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Card Amex Offers Deal: Save $200 On $900+ Flight

The Amex Offers program frequently offers promotions that can save you money on flights, hotel stays, etc. There’s a new Amex Offers deal that seems to be specific to one co-branded Marriott card, and it’s incredibly lucrative.

Spend $900+ on flights, earn a $200 statement credit

The Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card (learn more) seems to have a new targeted Amex Offers deal whereby you can earn $200 back when you spend $900+ on airfare.

This is really straightforward — targeted members just need to register for the Amex Offers deal, and then spend $900+ across one or more transactions by February 28, 2027.

You can reach that spending threshold through one or more qualifying purchases, and the flights need to be booked directly with airlines (so not through a third party). There are no restrictions as to which airline you can book through, so you can use this both for US and foreign carriers, which is awesome.

Bonvoy Brilliant Card Amex Offers deal

Officially Amex Offers deals are all targeted, though this one at least seems to be pretty widely targeted. It seems that it’s specific to this card, and that most people with the card are eligible for the offer.

I love these kinds of Amex Offers deals!

The Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Card has a steep annual fee. Personally, it’s a card that I have, and one that I find to represent a good value, thanks to the variety of perks it offers. However, an easy $200 in savings beyond the expected value sure helps even more with making the math work!

The card ordinarily earns 3x Bonvoy points per dollar spent on airfare, and I value those points at 0.7 cents each, for a 2.1% return. So if you spent exactly $900 on a ticket, you’d get a $200 statement credit plus 2,700 Bonvoy points, which I value at an extra $19 return, for a total return of around 24%. That’s excellent.

Even if you don’t have an immediate ticket you want to book, most major US airlines let you bank credit if you buy a ticket and then decide that you no longer want to travel. So you could typically buy a $900 (non-basic) ticket, and essentially pick up that much credit with an airline for around $700. That’s a great value, assuming you can use the credit before it expires.

Bottom line

Amex Offers has a new deal that can save you $200+ on the cost of an airfare purchase of $900+. This seems to be specific to the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant Card, and it’s widely targeted. This is an easy opportunity to save well over 20% on the cost of an airline ticket with few strings attached, so it’s worth taking advantage of, if eligible.

Are you eligible for this Amex Offers deal, and do you plan on taking advantage of it?
