Save On Hyatt Regency Hotel Stays With Amex Offers (Targeted)

6

The Amex Offers program frequently has promotions for hotel stays, which can save you money or earn you bonus points for stays you’d make anyway.

We’ve just seen Amex roll out a new offer for select Hyatt properties, which is only the third Amex Offers deal we’ve seen for Hyatt stays so far this year. Let’s go over the details, as it could save you money on some upcoming stays.

Spend $300+ with Hyatt Regency, save $100

There’s a targeted Amex Offers deal that can earn you a $100 statement credit when you spend $300+ at select Hyatt Regency properties worldwide. It’s possible that there’s also a version of the offer for 10,000 bonus Membership Rewards points rather than $100, which I’d consider to be a better deal (since I value Amex points at 1.7 cents each).

As you’d expect, there are some terms to be aware of:

  • Save $100 when you spend $300+ across one or more transactions (up to 33% back)
  • This is valid when you pay for your stay between October 27 and December 15, 2025
  • This is valid at select Hyatt Regency properties worldwide, and the full list can be found here; what’s awesome is that this covers select properties worldwide, so this isn’t just limited to the United States or North America, as some Amex Offers deals are
  • The terms state that you need to book directly with Hyatt to take advantage of this
  • All room charges, including taxes and fees, should qualify toward this offer
  • Registration is required
Save up to $100 on a stay at select Hyatts

You can split a hotel bill to maximize value

This Amex Offers deal can get you up to 33% back, which is an awesome return. Admittedly the $300 threshold is pretty low, though, and you should always maximize your return on hotel spending.

That’s why it’s important to remember that you can typically split your hotel bill at check-out, to maximize value. So if you have this deal, you can ask the front desk agent to charge $300 to your eligible Amex card, and then charge the balance to a card that maximizes your return on spending, in terms of offering the most points per dollar spent.

Bottom line

There’s a new targeted Amex Offers deal that could save you money on an upcoming Hyatt Regency stay. Specifically, you can get $100 back if you spend $300+ at a Hyatt Regency property that’s on this list. I appreciate that this offers up to 33% back, as that’s a phenomenal return. If you have any upcoming stays, this is definitely worth taking advantage of.

Do you see this Amex Offers deal on one of your accounts, and if so, do you plan on taking advantage of it?

"Book directly with Hyatt" means this offer does not stack w/ any offer via The Hotel Collection? I know THC is not Hyatt, but you also earn status nights with THC (and FHR) stays, so maybe it does.

@lucky. The list excludes hyatt regency lost pines (cedar creek, tx). Is there a way to double check that?

Perfect timing! I had a THC booking for Cincinnati in November that I can now cancel (and save the credit for a booking early next year), and I can stay at the Regency instead. Thanks Ben for the tip!

Can you clarify what they mean by excludes prepaid?

I’m guessing payment through the hotel would trigger the offer.

However, I think if you book a pre paid non refundable on hyatt website, the payment would be processed at hotel, thus still triggering offer.

Anyone feel free to correct me…

Sure feels like a 'shot across the bow' at Chase!

Like, I've got that 'World of Hyatt Credit Card' by Chase with its 4 bonus points per dollar at Hyatt, but, let's be real, $100 off $300 spend is probably far better than those extra points.
