United Airlines is expected to start rolling out its new employee uniforms in the coming weeks, nearly a decade after this project started (thanks to PYOK for flagging this).

Yellow stripes for the officer ranks are better for a pilot's uniform but the new version is passable.
The flight attendants uniform is a little goofy. The men's uniform is like a hotel bell boy. The woman's is sort of ok for fat people, of which there are many. No airline has military jumpsuit FA uniforms except for military flights run by air forces.
Don't believe the corporate hype. The uniform rollout for the FAs is a dumpster fire. The uniforms they tried on at fittings systemwide are not what was delivered. The pieces don't fit the way they are supposed to. The dresses are so poorly fitted they allow the FA's to raise their arms overhead.
This article has a number of issues. First of all:
1) The front line employees pictures were what was initially introduced in 2019 and being test-worn through Feb 2020. They are not the final versions.
2) The ramp/below employees uniforms have been rolled out. Those are by Carhartt.
3) The new uniforms are shown in the safety video. This includes FAs and airport agents. They may keep making changes (like they added the tartan ties and checked shirts for men, Chanel style jacket for women), but this will be worn in the initial rollout.
I'll bet all my Skypesos that the new uniforms will somehow be terrible LOL.
There have never been 2 stripe pilots in the US for decades. In the US we have First Officers (3) and Captains (4). The 2 stripes are on flight attendant uniforms
IIRC, the two stripe was the flight engineer (B727, DC8, L1011, etc). This position was phased out in the ‘80s and ‘90s.
Where is the contract for the flight United flight attendants?! They are currently the lowest paid out of all the legacy carriers and no more excuses need to be made for that! It’s time get on with it!!!
It's nice that all the men wearing womens clothing woke nonsense has come to an end.
Immensely bland, and evokes the 1990s. United's brand is anything but stylish. These uniforms are dull, boring, and nothing novel.q
The designer of Qantas' cabin crew uniforms would like to have a word...
Didn’t your union present their sought after pay rates in November after the other airlines had settled to ensure top rate of pay. Would that not be the your move date on negotiations? Risky move in a Presidential election year when labor power can shift.
Looks like a knockoff of my old TWA Ralph Lauren F/A uniform that they issued us in 1978, San TWA red stripes
