I know this is irrelevant on this article but I wanted to share a link with you of an X account of an Indian passenger who flew on that crashed Air India 787-8 on a flight from Delhi to Ahmadabad earlier that day before that same plane was used on the flight from Ahmadabad to London where it crashed after take off. He mentioned that he noticed a lot of malfunctions in the IFE system and some other issues in the plane.
US airlines should stop flights to Israel altogether, bad for business, bad for human rights.

It's not really a big deal, but DL waited far longer than the coast of Newfoundland to divert. I have the screenshot from Flightradar24 at least two hours after the news broke of the DL flight closer to Ireland than Canada. It took them quite some time to make a decision on the diversion.

Atrocity should never be answered with atrocity, because that's only ever going to beget more atrocities. But unfortunately, it's been the Israeli modus operandi for several decades now to ratchet up the pressure on Palestine, act surprised when Palestinians react violently, and then use that as an excuse to commit further atrocities. That's not to excuse the violent acts committed by Hamas on Oct 7th or prior, but any fair-minded individual can see that Israel has all the power in that relationship. If Palestinians don't fight back, Israel continues to slowly illegally take land Palestinians have inhabited for centuries for Israel's own settlers. If Palestinians do fight back, Israel uses that as an excuse to cut off food, water, and electricity and indiscriminately attack civilians under the guise of killing "terrorists".
Israel is the party that needs to take a step back, reign in its far right wing (throwing Netanyahu in jail would be a good start), and actually commit itself to a peaceful solution rather than bombing Gaza every time Hamas launches a rocket. The saddest part about all of this post-Oct 7th is that we KNOW Israel is capable of targeted, minimum-collateral retaliation against the people who actually planned and executed attacks on Israel. I'm referring to the Hezbollah pager attack. By comparison, their behavior in Gaza is an abhorrent collective punishment with no regard for whether people actually participated in the Oct 7th attack, and they're doing that INTENTIONALLY.
