Wow, those pics made me appreciate Lufthansa's business class catering. Even the sad Taste of Heimat is better than that.
Flying first class to get a $10 menu not even matching what we can order in a McDonald’s…
One point of clarification:
There are no caps on domestic//Canada/Mexico/LatAm flights - it is similar to AA.
Caps exist on Polaris longhaul flights.
Perhaps it's best that you don't post pictures with articles on United food offerings.
The day I receive the email telling me my meal selection period is open I click on the link only to receive the message that tells me the selection period has ended. I am then reminded that it starts 5 days prior to the flight etc
I can almost never get access to make a choice

Tired to preorder a few months ago and it didn’t work. One was even on a 777 EWR-IAH. As it turned out it was crap food, so it wouldn’t have made any difference
thank you very much for this article. my experience with United has not been impressive at all - except for the new Polaris Lounge at Newark International Airport and maybe their flatbeds. my experience with American airlines has been much better, but the convenience of newark airport keeps me a prisoner to United.
The sad fact is United does not recognize and give corresponding 1K status to Air Canada SEs even those who are MM+. Being offered pre ordering on United is hot and miss. On a recent flight from LHR to Dulles it was not offered to me and even though I was in 2A they had run out of the choices. I never bother to pre order on AC as they ask SEs first and frankly I don’t know what want to dine on until the day of.
Some guy pre-ordered the burger on my flight last Weds. Flight attendant apologized to him for the quality when handing it over lol. Looked so bad.

The article is not 100% correct. Routes like sfo-yvr offers no meals and is over 800 miles.
In my opinion pre orderd meal in Singapore Airlines Business class is the best and very easy
Non only the link isn't working (it just says "Preorder window is closed" even though I haven't entered my flight info -- and says that even in incognito), but I can't even find the menu with the food and wine to be served on my flight.
I am definitely not looking forward to my flight and can't wait to leave the third world country of the USA and return to Asia!
Used it and flt attendant seemed surprised I had preorodered. Got my selection as pre-ordered!
