You passed on the Bieber promotion?? Select 'Bieber' pay $5 for a digital download of his new album and get a $5 Lyft credit.

I'm not a Bielieber but even I took advantage of this 🙂

Technically, you tipped 14%. $3 would have been more like ~20%.

@Nope - Should the tip not be calculated based on the actual ride cost of $10.26? Tipping for Lyft's background check fee and the airport fee seems odd.

@Mike - with all due respect, don't be so cheap!

I don't see any justification for calculating a tip on the total amount, including taxes and junk fees. I don't think Mike was being "cheap."

I think Lyft should have done the Bieber promo like this:
$10 credit, no Bieber required
$20 credit with a forced download of Bieber.
You might have me at $20 Justin.

On the Lyft front, hopefully they don't start pulling the typical taxicab scam going through the tunnel or doing the long way on the freeway routes for simple strip visits. If former cab drivers or becoming Lyft drivers, which I suspect, this scam will continue. Also the Taxicab authority or whatever it's called won't be able to pull over random Lyft card going through the tunnel like they were doing with cabs and fining them.

Has anyone tried dropping a pin right outside the airport and just calling the driver and telling them to come in and pick you up?

Thanks for writing this! Helps me prep for Vegas and now I don't have to use taxis.
