It is not unusual to see "award" tickets on Spirit that are more expensive than cash tickets. Also, awards are coach only; you have to pay for the upgrade, if it's available. I have had 150,000 unused Spirit miles in my account for a long time, and they probably will remain unused for a long time to come.

That being said, I think that paid business-class on Spirit actually is a bargain, and far prefer that to coach on any competing airline.

Spirit miles are worthless. Before the Coronavirus pandemic, the number days of it has reasonable number of points required for flights was so few. Miles are also gone only after three months without activity.

In short, Spirit miles are completely useless. It's a waste of time and money to keep them.

This website seems to have too little report that it bothers talks about Spirit miles.

You couldn’t pay me to fly on Sprit, let alone join their frequent flyer program. Accrue miles for what? The thrill of a flying Jerry Springer episode with every flight?
