I’m at a bit of a loss to understand this routing ? Whos wanting to travel to Houston Texas abd what would these loads be like
...ever heard of oil and natural gas?
They tend to bring big business from all over the world, and Houston has by far the USA's (and N.America's) highest concentration of oil/gas/energy companies bases and HQs.
This flight ain't for tourists.
@ Steven E - for starters Houston is the fourth biggest city in the USA and in the Houston-Galveston metro area the population is almost 7 million, so aside from the oil and gas sector demand it’s a pretty active aviation market.
Pre pandemic both BA and United operated twice daily to Houston and the Singapore flight was operating 6x a week.
Every flight I’ve ever taken between the UK and Houston has been over 90% full.
I'm pleased to see the restoration of routes and the controlled opening of Singapore to non-residents. But I have not been able to find first class availability on these routes, especially the VTL flights, for award travel. Ben, do you know which SIA routes have any first class availability? US-UK/EU destinations are OK with me, as well as US-SIN.
Reinstatement of the IAH/MAN/SIN RT will be awesome. My wife has family in Spore to include her 94 year old mom. OK with meeting Spore NON VTL requirements. State of Texas does not provide digital QR code vaccine records to meet VTL. Just being able to stay with Singapore Airlines the entire RT route is a real comfort. We are in our 70s and have travelled to Spore since 1979. Love the people and the place. Many Thanks.
