During my whirlwind Aeroplan adventure, I had around four hours at Singapore Changi Airport, after landing from Bahrain in Gulf Air's Boeing 787 business class, and prior to departing for Ho Chi Minh City in Singapore Airlines' Boeing 787 business class. Not only was I excited to spend some time at Changi Airport, but I…

You got lucky. In the evening, before the evening rush of departures, the lounge is an absolute zoo. It took 10 minutes to find a place to sit, the showers were booked for four hours (no joke!), and the food disappeared as soon as they brought it out. While it may be better than the old one (I have no idea, I never visited the old one) it's still too small. It was a really bad way to start off a long journey in SQ business class.

Nice. I’m flying SQ Business into SIN and have SQ Gold elite status. Is there any SQ lounge access for arrival?

How would you compare the lounge to CXs The Wing/The Pier? I would've loved daybeds in a secluded area similar to the setup they have at The Pier. But hey, I love bidets, so that's a plus. I wish more lounges (outside of Japan) offered bidets in their lounges.

The place is packed at night. I was there in October when I had a midnight departure with SWISS to Zurich. There wasn't an empty seat in the entire lounge. I spent four hours there and never saw the crowds thin out.

Lucky you visited it only now. Things have improved a lot recently.
This lounge was a complete zoo in Q2/2022 when Singapore opened up, as it was still the only SQ lounge in Changi for any pax with any kind of lounge access.
People couldn’t find seats and they were literally giving them vouchers to enter the SATS “priority pass” lounge next door to find a seat.

Nowadays lounge eligible passengers are spread out over this T3 Silverkris lounge + The Private Room + T3 First Class lounge + T3 Star gold lounge + T2 First Class lounge + T2 Silverkris lounge + T2 star gold lounge.

I was hoping your criticism about their sleeping zone. I think they could squeeze more bed in that area and try to improve its privacy as well.

We were there in July 2022 from Singapore to Newark...the lounge was huge and very busy. We enjoyed ourselves with all the amenities they had especially the bar and dinning area. The concierge desk in the front was perfect. Above all we really were impressed and we enjoyed our short stay in their lounge.

Great lounge inside a great airport. Enough said.

Great review, thanks!

Is entry upon arrival in J from LAX allowed? Is there another arrivals lounge?

And one more question if I can; do you use arrival lounges if you have checked luggage? I did until a couple years ago when someone inadvertently took my bag (niw I usually scurry to the carousel).

I can vouch for that. The evening bank is absolutely a zoo.

The entire lounge gets completely packed with almost no seats available in any of the sections. Line-ups everywhere for food. Pure chaos.

Just used this lounge last week. Got some breakfast before a morning flight to Seattle. It was busy, but no trouble finding a seat or getting food.

Agreed on late evening as regional flights arrive to connect with overnight international journeys. Hard to find anywhere to settle and young children playing catch. Just wasn't relaxing though I agree at quieter times the experience would be very different.

Was there a few weeks ago before SQ24 to JFK. Amazing lounge with one of the best showers ! Food was delicious but had to try hard from trying everything on the buffet to keep room for the excellent inflight food!
If I was flying UA, would have filled up on food from lounge and got some togo as well !

Is there any chance of using this (or any other) lounge when I'm arriving SQ J, but departing economy?

Not any more unless you are a PPS member. Entry into this lounge now depends on the class of your departing flight, not arriving. If you are *G, you will be directed to the Krisflyer Gold lounge down the hall which is decent but not as "exclusive"

Is there a place to store luggage? Family has several connecting flights in Bus though here in a month and some 8-12 hour layovers. Would live to go see Singapore and this would be an easy place to drop bags?

I'm curious for my own upcoming trip; any experience of it in the mornings, say from 630am-900am?

Was there June 2022. Was not impressed with the lounge and it was too crowded. My wife and I both thought the layout of the old lounge was much nicer. A crowded lounge is not relaxing and we chose to leave and eat at one of the many restaurants that was way more relaxing.

Have to add to the zoo theme aswell, came off a bkksin flight heading back to syd 0030 dpt and found no seats available in the t3 business lounge. Likewise for getting a bite to eat what was put out was gone in a minute. Basically walked out within a minute after not being able find a seat and went to the adjacent silverkris Gold lounge which had seating available. Great lounge.....only when not packed.

I don't think the lounge has that particular amenity. But if you pass thru immigration, there are paid luggage storage services available for a very reasonable fee in all three terminals. I've used it a few times in the past.

No. You can only access the SilverKris lounge prior to a flight if you have an onward business class ticket. You cannot use it if you have just arrived from flying business class but are flying out in economy. But check your *Alliance status [if you have it] as you may be able to access the KrisFlyer Gold lounge which is a step down from the SilverKris lounge.

You can enter the lounge if you are transiting and have an onward J class ticket. But this is not an arrivals lounge per se, like what BA has at LHR. SQ lounges are primarily for departing pax, not arriving ones. But you can pay a fee to access an airside hotel to freshen up (deal includes a shower and light breakfast, I think?).

You obviously haven't been there at peak times in the evenings around 10pm onwards. I have been there on 3 occasions and every time it is packed to the rafters with no place to sit snd relax. After scouring the lounge for over 10 minutes on last occasion in late January gave up and left. Found a much quieter snd peaceful spot in the main terminal area. While it might be larger than before it is not much good if it is always packed, busy and noisy.

I found this lounge completely underwhelming. It was hot as hell, I had to move several times as outlets did not work, and the wine selection was tragic.

Is it correct that lounge access is only available 3 hours prior to flight departure for business class passengers? How do you book the showers?

At that time of the morning you will almost have the place to yourself.

I spent a couple of hours in the lounge back in November from a little before 6AM until 8:00. It was pretty busy but not packed. There was about a 45 minute wait for the showers at that point. The one complaint I had was that the wifi was really spotty until just after 7. I figure someone started their shift and fixed the issue.

All in all an excellent lounge.

I spent 6 hours on lay over leg newark to perth in the lounge. Found it clean, staff friendly, food good. My wife loved the couch. Plenty of charging ports for electronics.we were there late afternoon till just before midnight, saw 3 flows ( surges) of people they were busy at those times people looking for comfort seats. Over all Found the lounge well presented and maintained.Staff were on the ball.

Agree with all your points but you missed the nap room! THE place to be during evening 'zoo' rush hours...

For a point of comparison the Star Alliance Gold Lounge is terrible. It has some of the worst food selection I've seen at a premium lounge - mostly rice, noodles and other starches. The alcohol selection is equally poor. You know something is wrong when both Priority Pass lounges in Singapore Terminal 3 have better food.

I arrive at T3 on a Singapore flight flying economy class from Bali around 3.30pm and fly to Sydney in business class on Singapore Airlines at 00.15 am. Can I check my bags and get my boarding pass for the Sydney flight when checking in in Bali? At what time can I enter the lounge?

Lucky you were there at the quietest time of the day. Like many others it's a zoo and last Friday evening people were going to the new Gold lounge which is actually a HUGE improvement saying I can't get a seat in the business lounge! In any event, it's not half as good as the Cathay business lounges in HK and for me it's the differentiator between CX & SQ.

I couldn't agree more with dfw88, I went the T3 lounge in 9/2022 & it was pandemonium, jamedpack, impossible to find place to sit, noisy& the atmosphere was that of a factory cafeteria, much preferred the old lounge which was a place where you could relax in a quiet environment.

Hello, does anyone know if the place is pack around 2 AM? We have a flight arriving around 130 AM and our next flight is not until 9 AM.

Both times I went it was rammed, food wasn't great and was almost impossible to find a seat. Wasn't impressed at all esp given Singapore's reputation

We are arriving from AKL and have 2hr 55m before our connection to AMS.. I presume you can’t prebook the showers?? How bad is it at this hour if anyone has recently done this? Any advice welcomed. I do hope if it’s packed they will allow us to use the showers in another lounge!

I am arriving/J at 7pm and my connecting flight/J is after 13 hours at 8am. Can I doze off for few hours in this lounge? Will they let me in if the flight is on the next day? Otherwise, I have to book a room in one of the transit hotels or go to the city. Thanks.

To all those people who are gluten intolerant or celiac, Singapore airlines does a terrible job in their longes and on board. Be prepared to BYO something because other than fruit…. There’s not much else. The onboard service was a disgusting pasta which looked like mashed toddler food. Children could do a better job. Yes; I know gluten free pasta is notoriously hard to pull off but then that begs the question of why would you try…particularly on an airplane with limited preparation capacity?

Does the lounge cater for those with gluten free needs and are dishes clearly labelled?

Got here on a weekday in March 2024. From noon to 6 PM. Initially, there plenty of seating options. As the day progressed, the lounge began to fill up, about 80% full by the time we departed.

Compared to my limited experience with business class lounges, this one was excellent. The facilities were clean and comfortable. The food was very good with many options. The staff were friendly and efficient. Plenty area to charge phones. The bathrooms remined pretty clean through my stay. Good Wi-fi.

Pleasantly surprised to see no sign restricting the coffee/cocktail hours in June 2026 - cocktails and coffees being ordered side by side at 16.30.
