Singapore Airlines offers its monthly KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes promo, whereby you can receive a 30% discount on award tickets in select markets. This is a fantastic opportunity to save on award flights on one of the world's best airlines.

There are several opportunities to save miles on tickets in economy, premium economy, and business class. For this month we're actually seeing a pretty good list, especially if you enjoy premium economy, as there are a handful of options to and from the United States. Let's go over the details.

Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer has published its latest Spontaneous Escapes promotion. With this new list, you can save on business class, premium economy, and economy award redemptions. There are some good deals to be had -- for those in the United States, there's one option in business class, and several options in premium economy, so that's much better than usual.

Are there any KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes awards that you plan to take advantage of?

Cross off vietnam , philippines , angladesh , china , jakarta , and india from the list . Select from bangkok , phuket , bali , and colombo . Myself , I'd select colombo for a relatively tourist-free experience .

It's a tough-y, since no long-haul J to/from N. America or Europe. Good for those already based in E. Asia, I suppose. Availability on SQ for long-haul J awards is nearly all Waitlist these days. *sigh*

These days? It's been that way for decades, if you're originating in North America. They never have availability, and partner rewards are nonexistent.

Unless and until there is readily available non-Waitlist, confirmed Business long-haul, I wouldn't transfer to SQ points. They've really scaled-back on availability, which is a shame. Even premium economy for a 19+ hour JFK-SIN ain't fun. You'll want that lie-flat.

Checked dates for SIN-AU/NZ. Too many ifs and buts. Narrow selected dates for even economy flights. A waste of my time even looking at this. Not even that easy to find the area on the site where you book these. Very clunky offering.
