Correction mate; Air New Zealand sold its stake in Virgin Australia to China's Nanshan Group.
Quietly, I am hoping Singapore Airlines will do a full bid takeover if they go to up their percentage in Virgin Australia. Then it will be, very much a shove in the face to Air New Zealand.

This does not work with Air NZ any more - particularly for lounge access.

My experience has been their lounges are extremely overcrowded, so perhaps they are trying to reduce the number of people in them.
