TAM is the Brazil-based oneworld airline, and has the most extensive route network to/from/within Brazil. I had the chance to fly them a couple of years back in first class from Sao Paulo to New York, which I quite enjoyed. In the meantime TAM has eliminated first class in favor of a better business class…

If you are in the window seat in business class, how are you supposed to get out? Climb on the foot rest area and step down?

Hey Ben,

They are substituting the 777s on the JFK-GRU route, but currently using 767s on the MCO-GRU one so it'll be a very welcomed upgrade in Orlando. Suddenly I started contemplating the idea of visiting my hometown...I'd say that's a good reason to fly down for a few days 😉

Ahhhh the Turkish Airlines business seat. It's not flashy, but I greatly enjoyed its functionality and comfort for my two flights (LHR-IST and IST-BOS). Admittedly I had a partner, but still -- it's a good product

the old tam seat looks very much like the old 777 QR seat. Newer with a bigger screen but an already old product. No direct access and no real partition is a no no for me

The forward flat seats are great (similar to QR)there's so much space they climbing out is easy. It's great sitting forward instead of angled for many reasons. And no squeezing your feet into a cubby hole !!

Shouldn't be the direct aisle a must for upcoming business class? But overall the plane looks nice!

So, they're definitely getting rid of First Class overall?

@M - yes, since October they don't sell first class anymore. There are some planes that haven't been reconfigured that elite fliers can select first class seats, but the service is the same as business class.

Just a quick correction as Azul has the largest route network within Brazil.

I'm pretty sure TAM flies LAN's old 767s between GRU and MCO/JFK.
