Review: Avianca 787 Business Class Bogota To Madrid
Boarding was announced at 8:50PM, starting with passengers who needed extra time boarding, followed by business class. That ended up being a bit of a mess, because they boarded the groups right after one another, even through the cabin crew wasn’t ready for passengers yet. So we ended up waiting for about ten minutes on…

I think you're being a bit too nice in recommending flying this again on the basis that business is all about the hard product. In this day and age this hard product isn't very hard to find. The food on this flight looks as bad as the last one and frankly everything looks and sounds pretty substandard for a premium cabin
Was it loud sitting next to the engine? I'm with you on the mini-cabin, but I'd worry about engine noise.
@ Neil S. -- Personally I've never found it to be an issue. The noise difference is minimal, in my opinion.
@ Jt -- Fair enough, though I do still think business class is still the single most important aspect of the business class experience. For example, I'll take a reverse herringbone seat over a 2-2-2 configuration (offered on LAN/TAM) any day, even if the service were better. Not having to sleep next to a stranger is something I value immensely.
My three takeaways --
Old Colombian men with ridiculously-hot younger women --
-- cuddling in a reverse herringbone seat --
-- and coconut lemonade.
Does FlyingBlue let you route from the east coast to Europe via Bogota on a single award? Or just from LAX?
Enjoyed your review although would have enjoyed pics of the "couples" you spoke of 😉

I would love to hear your opinion about this. Since you fly so much and this website talks from a flight attendants perspective! I just want to hear your thoughts after reading this! Please and Thank You!
Thanks for the seating tip! Am flying this exact route in December and have confirmed Seat 6A for all legs. Will comment again in February if there's any improvement in food and/or service. I will say this: Avianca's call centre agents are _very_ polite and friendly.
The business class service for Avianca has been reduced drastically due to the cost cuts that the airline is doing. The last time, I didn't receive the special pillow and blanket from Business Class. They are using the regular blanket from the economic and the catering service is offering just one option. They didn't offer the Business Call special menu with the food offertings as they used to do it in the past
@Eduardo S: Man that's sad, i was looking forward again for the business ticket i have for MDE-JFK. Hope im lucky since its a MDE and not a BOG flight
I received an email recently and it seems the airline returned the blanket and pillow and they are offering again two meal options. Have a good flight
