Seems like Qatar have a lot of planes spare. Good on them for picking up extra business this way.
With the blockade, QR has LOTS of available planes but I thought they were mostly single aisle. But they now seem to operate such short routes as Doha to Istambul and Beyrouth with A 350s. The need for capacity, I guess. Also, the Air Italy semi-debacle would free many intermediate planes such as A330s.
@ Ben, AFAIK, the 747 is still used for such flights as Mecca and as a spare. It visited ORY recently and is often conspicuously absent from its usual parking place at CMN.
I just flew Qatar in this J configuration. Ok it’s not q suites but it was great and the service amazing
