Qatar Airways A380 Flights Further Delayed

Qatar Airways has announced further delays to their A380 flights. This perpetual delay is apparently due to "fine tuning" of the aircraft interior. Qatar Airways now shows the A380 as going into service as of September 1, 2014, though even that might be optimistic.

Until they fix the lounge situation at DOH, I'm not touching QR with a 10-foot pole. That's 10 hours of my life in transit I'll never get back.

Unbelievable - their A380 product looks nice enough but not exactly revolutionary, so it's hard to imagine what's taking so long.

If I had to guess (and this may just be MY passion for drama talking), I think Qatar and Emirates were both caught off guard by Etihad's mind-blowing A380 Residence and First Suites and are now scrambling to catch up. I'm imagining Akbar Al Baker watching the Etihad announcement and just absolutely LOSING. HIS. $HIT.

If Qatar's A380 configuration changes from seats to suites we'll know why!

I wonder if their a350 launch is going to be as big a clusterfuck as the a380 is...
