Review: Dushanbe Airport Lounge

Probably you were entitled to lounge, but since you don't speak their language, you can't argue much or ask it beforehand. So, why not extort some dollars from a rich tourist? Or maybe the lounge was for high ranking official? Its common in 3rd world countries....

Just wondering, what does "CIP" stand for?

I wonder how long those snacks have been waiting for someone to eat them.

I can imagine a European flying a US domestic flight in first class being similarly perplexed about why they don't get free lounge access when they are used to it elsewhere. Actually, even with Americans I've heard a version of your conversation play out a number of times at the entrance to United Clubs.

Yes, that is true, BUT...Lucky was not flying domestically in this case, it was an international flight.

A security guard spend 5 minutes flipping through a heavily used passport?? The horror. Your insistence that he thought you were suspicious is petty. He was doing his job. Maybe you had some entry/exit stamps that he's never seen before. Your attitude towards aviation security baffles me.

Could you ask Somon Air and see what their response is - would be interesting to know if it was just the lounge attendants trying to make $$$ or whether they actually don't provide any lounge access!?
