About a year ago Wyndham Rewards made a revolutionary change to their loyalty program. Under their old program, there were tiers of hotels, where a free night ranged in cost from 5,500 points to 50,000 points. The new program is an aspirational redeemer's dream come true (well, as aspirational as Wyndham can get). Wyndham claims…

Keep us posted - i am holding points for use at an all inclusive resort and will certainly be interested to see if this is a program shift. There are other glitches i am noticing referencing dates to 2013 in their alerts for certain properties - so hopefully its just a system glitch.

Just purchased 30k points via daily getaway deals - this better be a glitch as I was waiting for the points to post to book a hotel.

@Lucky interesting to know... By the way remember the whole issue of AF female crew travelling to Iran? Apparently something similar is happening with their gay crew. It would be interesting that you wrote an article about it to see your perspective.

The examples in the screenshots all match old categories' pricing. That seems to be the simplest explanation.

I just called Wyndham Rewards. The online booking system is currently malfunctioning (e.g. a "Chelsea London" hotel is appearing as a "Chelsea New York" hotel on the New York, NY hotels page). Once the glitch is fixed the 15K awards remain the same.

Wyndham Rewards added online reward stay booking today for Tryp and Dolce hotels. They are all pricing correctly at 15,000 points for GoFast reward. The new functionality for Tryp and Dolce hotels resulted in all other brand hotels reverting to pre-May 2015 reward rates for all other brand hotels.

Temporary glitch. Simple explanation really.

Seems like a glitch, however, the Bali Hai property on Kauai is pricing at 30,000 points/night. When I called, it was justified as a 2 bedroom, the only room type you can book on points. So not everything is 15,000/night.
