Choice Privileges is a loyalty program that I don’t talk about all that much, given that the brand doesn’t have that many aspirational properties. That being said, Choice Privileges has a big global footprint, and in some parts of the world, the program has some of the more compelling properties.

Choice Privileges does offer a Diamond Elite Status Jump: https://www.choicehotels.com/cambria/benefits#status

You can match to Diamond status but there's an extra requirement of a stay at a Cambria hotel within the last 12 months.

I thought the Northern Europe footprint of Choice (Nordic Choice) is spinners off to become ‘Strawberry’ and no longer has anything to do with Choice?

@ Ryan -- Great catch, thank you! I went ahead and updated the post to reflect that.

Diamond doesn't really give you breakfast. I asked at multiple Radissons when I had it and I only convinced a Radisson Blu to give it to me one time. In 100% of cases they just blankly stared at me when ai asked about free breakfast.

Ironic, considering Radisson is the one sole brand at which the breakfast benefit is supposed to apply. [Straight from the website: "available exclusively at participating Radisson upscale brands (Radisson, Radisson RED, Radisson Blu, Radisson Collection, Radisson Individuals, Park Plaza)."] So if a Diamond is staying at a Cambria or Ascend hotel, no breakfast benefit for them!

Choice is also the odd one out for not giving points for food and beverage spend... so you're not incentivized to have breakfast at the hotel restaurant at all, other than for the sake of convenience.
