@Ben - I was at the AI FCL last month and slept for a few hours in the bedroom before my flight. I recall this wonderful aroma that AI's FCL. I also love the little touches like the cute coat hanger one would expect at hotels. Anyways, back to the aroma - they use a mixture of spices (cinnamon, cloves, cardamoms and something called morga, or similar? anyone know what that is?) to create a calm soothing aroma, especially in the bedroom. Using the blanket felt like I was wrapping myself in a warm cinnabon.

The CZ business class lounge at CAN (international departures area) has several proper, fully-enclosed private bedrooms with real beds. First-come first-served. The attendant who registers guests for the showers also manages access to these sleeping rooms.

You missed the 6 excellent bedrooms in Iberia's business lounge in Madrid. First come first serve basis - no limits. Used them during a 7 hour layover - perfect. Lounge excellent too.

The article mentions no natural light in the bedroom as if that's a bad thing. I certainly don't want natural light when I'm trying to sleep during a layover, especially if my time zone doesn't match the local time.

I'm curious as to why the CX nap rooms don't count for you as a bed; is it the lack of bedding that is an issue for you in terms of sleeping?

I’ll add I was recently at the LATAM business class lounge in LIM (I believe opened Aug 2025) and there were six sleeping rooms in the rest area. While not fully enclosed with a sliding door, these are full beds with a night table.
