Norse Atlantic Airways and the Association of Flight Attendants have reached a fascinating agreement, which is very well thought out.

The political games involved in the aviation industry our stomach churning, starting from gate hogs to JV approvals and now this why should Norse have “industry leading pay” when they are a) a new carrier with limited funds b) a ULCC ?
It’s one thing if they are breaking the law in taking advantage of crew but otherwise they should pay what the market is taking….
Back room smoke-filled room if there every was one. Sara Nelson has a special place in hell reserved for her.
Good news for everyone, except the anti-worker trolls that will be along any minute to decry anything and everything that helps employees have a livable wage and a decent job experience. Good for all involved.
Thank you for spotlighting this pro-worker policy. Quite the contrast to that other new airline startup that seems to have built their business model around exploiting their cabin crews.
No biggie.
Norwegian US based.flight attendants were with AFA also.
Basically just continues that.
Sad that the administration is prioritizing parasitic unions at the expense of consumers
If it’s leading industry pay then, all other current AFA contracts are not industry leading ?
How dare a company use every legal means available to them. This is why we need to end all for profit business.. the out going administration in 2016 where only looking to line the pockets of friends. People from that administration should be held accountable for there anti worker policies
It’s such an awful name but regardless of my subjective-ness Norwegian needs to clear out all their boarding signage which litter ever gate at JFK T1, and come up with new ones!
As long as Norse Atlantic operates all their transatlantic service to/from Norway/Oslo, I see no issue with this.
@Ben - A union is no more than the sum of it's members, and your castigation of unions as "parasites" shows your lack of respect for people who serve you during your air travel, people who band together for the purpose of achieving a decent standard of living. You wish to deny them that?
unions care only about themselves and block progress.
if the US cares so much about people being paid fairly, why is tipping required to bring wages up to an acceptable level?
I checked out Norse Atlantic Airways website. Looks like cabin crew are to be hired by OSM. Who knows what to believe:
https://jobs.osmaviation.com/jobs/?category=&client=694
Norse uses OSM for recruitment. Many US carriers use third parties for recruitment purposes.
All of the pilots and flight attendants will be trained and employed by Norse Atlantic.
