In July 2025, Virgin Atlantic announced plans to invest in its passenger experience, including all-new cabins on its fleet of Boeing 787-9s. This is overdue, since the Dreamliners have the worst interiors you’ll find on Virgin Atlantic’s ”next generation” fleet, with herringbone seats in business class.

In any these upcoming reviews please mention up front if new biz configurations have avoided placing seats with passengers backs to the windows. That’s a new unfortunate trend that I don’t want to dig for in the details.
It’s great to see a single retreat suite but I am a little bit disappointed they are not located in the forward cabin, I remember the mini cabin on the A343 was always second choice for many, let’s hope the crew police the divide more effectively.
The service and lounges are generally very good on VS, but I've not been impressed with the catering. BA/AA/DL all have better food IMHO.

Yeap couldn’t agree more! VS F&B is abysmal and there obsession with refusing to serve beef both on the ground and in the air boring.
Know doubt keep their old aircraft with poor Upperclass seating on MCO and TPA routes! Pity as we would utilize VA on our annual UK trips. We now fly TPA to AMS direct with Delta.
The fact that Virgin serves lamb makes not serving beef look performative. Considering how eleven Madison park decided to add back meat after 4 years of going plant based since reopening after COVID I believe Virgin will serve beef on its flights and at its lounges at some point.
I used to be VS silver but no longer take the chance on being stuck with 9+ hours sitting in the 'coffin' seat. Been KL from NWI for a couple of years now.
Looking at the Cirium numbers from last year, lower-volume routes to London like New Orleans, Nashville, and Pittsburgh, outperformed (yield-wise, per segment) Orlando and Tampa for BA, by a noticeable margin.
It's no surprise though, Tampa and Orlando have high volume, but p!ss-poor yields. Lots of people want to go, but they're not paying high fares overall, to do it. So what incentive would airlines have, to offer a top product to either?
About time they got rid of that truly awful herringbone seat layout in business class everyone hated it and the bar was just a waste of space and if you were on a night flight passengers using it making a noise was seriously annoying when your trying to sleep so good ridden to that
