For this flight it would have been the Piazza di Spagna lounge.

Do you think their A330neo or A350 has the better hard product? I am flying them over the holidays in a couple months, and my outbound flight has the A330neo, while my return is on the A350. The upgrade to J is reasonable, and both flights are the same length. Which one would you reccomend? (Also, which airline should I credit the flights to, I normally fly Oneworld so I don't have any substantial points with any Skyteam carrier).

I did the same flight just a month ago. I found the seat very confining (And I am not a big guy) and the food was nothing close to the old Alitalia. Also with the old Alitalia, you knew who the pursar for the flight was as they both introduced themselves to you plus wore a special white "maitre'd's" type jacket during the meal service.

all great but with a 528 USD million net loss when all airlines have been announcing profits, soon they will have to start cutting somewhere.

Hi Ben - suggestion for when you do flight reviews: I love that you note the monitor is 4k and the content variety, but can you please describe how the content actually looks on the screen? In my experience, some of airlines stream the TV shows and movies in such poor quality that the screen resolution is irrelevant and I'd rather watch something on my own devices. E.g. impossible to see anything during dark scenes, pixellated appearances, subtitles not available, etc.

My experience on MIA-FCO last week was the opposite of yours. Food was aweful. They skipped the appetizer course have no idea why. Both the first course lasagne and the second course fish was served between cold and lukewarm, bread was cold and not good. Breakfast omelette was cold, and after sending it back for heating, they presented me with another cold omelette. Cabin crew could not give a damn. Toilet at breakfast time was flithy and needed to be restocked. Was really looking forward to the flight given so many good reviews, but based on this flight i am not going to be spending my money with ITA again.

I totally agree with Alan. I flew Miami Rome round-trip, and it was absolutely abysmal. The food was absolutely inedible and cold. The crew were totally disengaged and could not have been bothered with you. And the bathrooms as with the rest of the plane were filthy. I only flew ITA because it was a direct flight from Miami to Rome. Normally I fly Air France or Swissair to Italy. I thought I would give ITA a try and I will never fly them again. And as far as the website goes and getting any sort of customer service help is an absolute joke. I will never fly them again. I have flown numerous carriers around the globe, but I will not be returning to ITA even if they were to give me free tickets.

Our Ben is a trendsetter, a true 21st century leader, and most importantly, a proponent of AN AIRVENT FOR EVERY DANG SEAT!

I think the decision to not install privacy doors is actually good in this case because the A330neo is a very narrow aircraft for a widebody and choosing to install privacy doors would make the seat more narrow and tight, though they could extend the privacy wing a little bit more.

I’m on one of their A330neo right now, in business. My impression:

- The seat is good.
- Food is decent.
- Service is non-existent. Aside from the meal services, the crew has spent the whole 10 hour trip chatting in the galley. They only show up on demand.
- Bathrooms are dirty.
- WiFi is embarrassing.

They made a profit this year. Stop it with the misinformation.
