As an avgeek, I love when small airlines take delivery of big planes. If you ask me, Iraqi Airways taking delivery of its first Boeing 787 is a little more exciting than American Airlines taking delivery of its 60th Boeing 787.

@ Guest profile -- Wait, you're amazing! That does seem to match the Suparna Airlines 787-9 seat count. The airline has two 787-9s, and it seems they're not in passenger service anymore, but they're still in China.
Any clue what the onboard product is like? It seems that it might be similar to Hainan's old business class, in a 2-2-2 layout?

Still an upgrade over MIAT current layout
There hasn’t been any new activity regarding any used, or new, 787’s that could be possibly going to a new customer like MIAT, not sure exactly how one will be delivered “any day now” like you seem to think. Definitely won’t be this month.
Mongolia and US recently signed Open Sky Agreement on Aug 4th. MIAT also announced that they are aiming to fly to US non-stop Q1 2024. News agencies are reporting that the delivery of the first 787 will be Aug 10th.
The 2-1-2 configuration is weird. It is better and perhaps more private for having it as 1-2-1. Further, I think the big issue with these airlines that have few long international flights is the pricing, lack of partners/points use, and lack of connection availability.
It feels like EI-MGL is going to have the Safran Cirrus seats as the business class product. B787-9s delivered to HNA Group after May 2017 features this type of seat with the exception of 3 featuring Collins Super Diamond seats.
I assume the similar cabin can be found on Vistara's VT-TSQ and Bamboo's VN-A829.

Ben - A small error... In 2021 a "new" airport took over operations, and consequently the airport code changed from ULN to UBN. It's a bit confusing because ULN used to be called Chinggis Khaan Int'l Airport until 2020 but they wanted to keep this name for the new UBN airport, so they switched it. The ULN airport was renamed to its old pre-2014 name of Buyant-Ukhaa Int'l Airport.
UBN is such a nice airport that I wish they weren't pulling from SFO. SJC would be better but they may not have the runways, SFO is certainly losing traffic, and the remaining west coast Russian consulate is in San Francisco.
